I'm stuck in the United Kingdom. Stuck, stuck, stuck. I missed my connecting flight here. I only had a 50 minute connection and the airlines refused to send my bag all the way through so I was expected to:
1. get off the plane
2. go through customs
3. get my bag
4. check my bag
5. go through security
6. find my gate
7. get on my plane
all in 50 minutes or less. Yeah, right.
It took me 20 minutes just to get off the plane and it took me 20 minutes to go through customs and I cut over 20 people in line. Basically, it was too late for them to accept my bag.
So I spent over 4 hours at the British Airways help-desk figuring out what to do.
So 500 Pounds later I have a new ticket and figured out my life.
I've been traveling for 26 hours so far and it'll be another 11 more hours before I reach Thessaloniki. I'll arrive at 1:45 in the morning Greece time.
It's been quite the adventure so far, it certainly has.
Even when travels go smoothly it is tiring and stressful....but when it goes awry, it is hellish. Being stuck sucks. Remember that "this too shall pass" and you will have learned much from the experience. Love, Mom
